What research has studied about NAD+

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme present in every living cell and central to energy metabolism, where it shuttles electrons in the reactions that generate ATP. It is also a substrate for enzymes involved in DNA repair and cellular-stress signalling. NAD+ levels are reported to decline with age in research models.

Laboratory research on NAD+ and NAD-boosting molecules has examined mitochondrial function, sirtuin activity, and DNA-repair pathways in cell and animal systems. These are preclinical observations reported in the literature; nothing here describes use in humans.
